Report:
The MRP cited Ben Holland (Mel) for serious misconduct in
making unnecessary and unreasonable contact to the face of Brad Johnson
during Q3 which was sent direct to the Tribunal for adjudication. At the
tribunal chairman John Hassett ruled the charge did not carry the
same wieght as eye gouging worth 125 points under the AFL penalties
system. The jury allocated the offence 93.8 points, under the 100 point
threshhold for a suspension. Given that Holland had pleaded guilty to
misconduct, he received the reprimand of the Tribunal. |
