DANIEL KERR (WCE) for striking Paul Wheatley (Mel) in the last quarter by field umpire Scott Jeffrey. Kerr pleaded guilty and was suspended for one match.

SEMI-FINALS
MELBOURNE v GEELONG
JAMES BARTEL (Gee) reported by umpire Vozzo for attempting to trip JAMES McDONALD (Mel) in the last quarter. On Tuesday, the Tribunal found Bartel not guilty of the charge.

BYRON PICKETT (PA) for striking Nathan Buckley (Col). This charge was withdrawn by the reporting umpire on Monday.

GRAND FINAL
GEELONG v ST KILDA

From video evidence, BRENT GUERRA (StK) for engaging in rough play against CAMERON LING (Gee) in the first quarter. On Tuesday, Guerra pleaded not guilty. However the Tribunal found Guerra guilty of making illegal head high contact with Ling and suspended him for three matches.

ST KILDA v GEELONG

KANGAROOS v ADELAIDE

ROUND 2
MELBOURNE v RICHMOND
On Tuesday, WAYNE CAMPBELL (Rch), JAMES McDONALD (Mel) and TRAVIS JOHNSTONE (Mel) were charged for wrestling in the second quarter. The Tribunal found JAMES McDONALD (Mel) not guilty of the charge. WAYNE CAMPBELL (Rch) and TRAVIS JOHNSTONE (Mel) both accepted the first fine penalty of $1200 for the charge.

COLLINGWOOD v WESTERN BULLDOGS
On Tuesday, SCOTT WEST (WB) and CHRIS TARRANT (Col) were charged for wrestling in the third quarter. Both players pleaded not guilty. However, the Tribunal found the pair guilty and both were fined $2500 each.

WEST COAST v PORT ADELAIDE

MICHAEL WILSON (PA) for rough play against TRENT CARROLL (WCE) in the first quarter. The Tribunal found Wilson not guilty of the charge. The Tribunal found Lloyd guilty and suspended him for two matches.

ESSENDON v ST KILDA
<||> On Monday, MATTHEW LLOYD (Ess) was cited for striking NICK DAL SANTO (StK) during the second quarter. The Tribunal found Lloyd guilty and suspended him for two matches. Essendon appealed against both the guilty verdict and the suspension that the contact was not intentional. The Tribunal on Tuesday night said "there was a forceful forward thrust of player Lloyd's left arm ... and player Dal Santo as a result of that was forcible struck to the jaw area."

On Thursday, Appeals Board chairman Peter O'Callaghan disagreed, ruling that the contact was not "reckless" and that Lloyd deserved the benefit of the doubt.

On Wednesday, from video evidence, MARK JOHNSON (Ess) and STEPHEN MILNE (StK) were cited for wrestling in the first quarter. JOHNSON (Ess) pleaded guilty and was fined $5000 by the Tribunal. MILNE (StK) elected to take the automatic $1200 fine for a first offence.

CARLTON v GEELONG
BRENT MOLONEY (Gee) for striking DAVID CLARKE (Car) in the second quarter. The Tribunal found Moloney guilty and suspended him for two matches.

HAWTHORN v KANGAROOS
On Wednesday, SAM MITCHELL (Haw) and DREW PETRIE (Kan) were cited for wrestling in the third quarter. Both players pleaded guilty and elected to take the automatic $1200 fine for a first offence.

<||> In addition to the actions of the Tribunal, the Hawthorn FC under the AFL Players' Code of Conduct fined its player PETER EVERITT $3000 for an obscene gesture to another player during three-quarter time of the match against Port Adelaide.


WEST.B'DOGS v MELBOURNE
From video, LUKE DARCY (WB) cited for striking DARREN JOLLY (Mel) in the third quarter. The Tribunal cleared Darcy of the charge.

FREMANTLE v ADELAIDE
RHETT BIGLANDS (Ade) for striking GRAHAM POLAK (Fre) in the fourth quarter. On Tuesday, Biglands pleaded guilty as charged. The Tribunal suspended the player for four matches.

ST KILDA v RICHMOND
<||> AARON HAMILL (StK) for tripping TY ZANTUCK (Rch) in the first quarter. The Tribunal suspended Hamill for one match. St Kilda appealed. On Thursday the AFL Appeal Board refused to overturn the one-match suspension.
<||> STEVEN BAKER (StK) for striking KANE JOHNSON (Rch) in the third quarter. Baker pleaded guilty and the Tribunal suspended him for four matches.
<||> From video, GREG STAFFORD (Rch) was cited on Tuesday for engaging in rough play against JASON BLAKE (StK) in the first quarter. The Tribunal found Stafford guilty and suspended him for three matches.

From video, RUSSELL ROBERTSON (Mel) was cited for striking JOSH CARR (PA) after the half-time siren. The Tribunal found Robertson guilty and suspended him for one match.

ANTHONY STEVENS (Kan) for striking ADAM GOODES (Syd) in the third quarter. Stevens pleaded guilty and was suspended for two matches.

CARLTON v COLLINGWOOD
<> From video, BRODIE HOLLAND (Col) was cited on a charge of misconduct against SCOTT CAMPOREALE (Car) during the third quarter. Holland pleaded guilty. The Tribunal suspended him for four matches.
<> From video, 15 players were cited for engaging in a melee during half-time. At Tuesday's hearing, Stevens, Lappin, Scotland, Didak and Lokan pleaded not guilty, but all were duly fined for their part. Rocca, Hulme and Camporeale were the other players who had previous fines for their involvement in either a melee or wrestling. HEATH BLACK (StK) for striking DION WOODS (Fre) in the last quarter. Black pleaded guilty and the Tribunal suspended him for two matches.

MELBOURNE v WEST COAST
<> CHRIS HEFFERNAN (Mel) for tripping DANIEL KERR (WCE) in the first quarter. The Tribunal cleared Heffernan of the charge.
<> From video, KASEY GREEN (WCE) was cited for kicking CAMERON BRUCE (Mel) in the last quarter. Green pleaded guilty and was suspended for four matches.

WEST COAST v SYDNEY
DANIEL KERR (WCE) for striking BRETT KIRK (Syd) during the third quarter. The charge was withdrawn on Monday.

BRISBANE v CARLTON
<> From video, IAN PRENDERGAST (Car) was cited for making contact with umpire DARREN MORRIS during the third quarter. Brown was found guilty of making contact with an umpire and fined $3500.
<> From video, JONATHAN BROWN (Bri) was cited for striking DARREN HULME (Car) during the fourth quarter. The Tribunal suspended Brown for two matches. Brisbane appealed the suspension. The AFL Appeal Board on Wednesday (19th) upheld the Tribunal findings.
<> From an investigation, JAMIE CHARMAN (Bri) was cited for striking ADRIAN DELUCA during the second quarter. Charman pleaded not guilty. The Tribunal sustained the charge and suspended him for two matches.


ROUND 9
COLLINGWOOD v ADELAIDE
SCOTT WELSH (Ade) for charging JAMES CLEMENT (Col) during the third quarter. The Tribunal cleared Welsh of the charge.

MELBOURNE v KANGAROOS
From video, SCOTT THOMPSON (Mel) was cited for striking BRADY RAWLINGS (Kan) during the second quarter. The Tribunal was satisfied, and suspended the player the player for one match.

PORT ADELAIDE v RICHMOND
<> From video, PETER BURGOYNE (PA) was cited on a misconduct charge in that he kneed CHRIS HYDE (Rch) during the first quarter. Burgoyne pleaded guilty and was suspended for two matches.
<> On Tuesday, DAMIEN HARDWICK was cited on a misconduct charge laid by AFL Investigations Officer Rick Lewis for making unnecessary and unreasonable contact with Richmond runner MATT HORNSBY during the last quarter. Hardwick pleaded not guilty. The Tribunal however found the charge sustained and fined Hardwick $1500.
<> On Thursday (May 27) the Richmond FC was fined $5000 for runner MATT HORNSBY's involvement with an on-field incident with Port Adelaide player DAMIEN HARDWICK. AFL Investigations Officer RICK LEWIS found the situation was inflamed by the runner's unnecessary verbal expressions. A maximum sanction of $5000 was imposed for a first offence and a suspension or a sanction of up to $10,000 may apply for any further breach.


ST KILDA v WEST COAST
JUSTIN KOSCHITZKE (StK) for charging CALLUM CHAMBERS (WC) during the second quarter. Following a video review, the charge was withdrawn on Monday.

ROUND 10
ESSENDON v FREMANTLE
SCOTT LUCAS (Ess) reported for charging BYRON SCHAMMER (Fre) during the first quarter. Following a video review, the charge was withdrawn on Monday.

HAWTHORN v ADELAIDE
From video, RICK LADSON (Haw) was cited with making unnecessary and unreasonable contact with BEN HART (Ade) during the third quarter. Ladson was cleared of the charge.

WEST COAST v RICHMOND
DARREN GLASS (WCE) and MATTHEW RICHARDSON (Rch) for wrestling in the first quarter. Glass took the automatic $1200 penalty for pleading guilty to a first offence. Richardson contested the charge. He was found guilty and fined $4000, for his second wrestling offence.

KANGAROOS v COLLINGWOOD
From video, PAUL LICURIA (Col) was cited for tripping EDDIE SANSBURY during the third quarter. Licuria was cleared of the charge.

WEST.B'DOGS v SYDNEY
Following an investigation, the AFL investigations officer RICK LEWIS on Monday cited BARRY HALL (Syd) for striking CHRIS GRANT (WB) during the fourth quarter. Hall pleaded not guilty and was cleared of the charge.

CARLTON v ST KILDA
From video, SIMON WIGGINS (Car) and NICK DAL SANTO (StK) were each cited for making contact with field umpire COLIN ROWSTON during the third quarter. Both players were found guilty and each received fines of $3500.

ROUND 11
COLLINGWOOD v WEST COAST
From video, CHRIS TARRANT (Col) for striking TRENT CARROLL (WC) in the fourth quarter. Tarrant was found guilty and suspended for two matches. Collingwood appealed. The Appeal Board on Thursday upheld the verdict of the Tribunal. Four weeks later on July 7, the AFL fined the Collingwood FC $5000 for post-appeal criticism made by coach MICK MALTHOUSE, who was also handed a $5000 suspended sentence.

HAWTHORN v ESSENDON
<> CAMPBELL BROWN (Haw) for wrestling DEAN RIOLI (Ess) in the third quarter. Brown was found guilty and fined $1200.
<> CAMPBELL BROWN (Haw) for striking JASON WINDERLICH (Ess) in the third quarter. Brown was found guilty and suspended for four matches.
<> JOHN BARKER (Haw) for striking ADAM McPHEE (Ess) in the first quarter. Barker was cleared of the charge.
<> From video, JUSTIN MURPHY cited for head-butting SIMON BEAUMONT (Haw) in the third quarter. Murphy was found guilty and suspended for one match.
<> From video, SIMON BEAUMONT (Haw) for striking JUSTIN MURPHY (Ess) in the third quarter. Beaumont was found guilty and suspended for one week.

<> On Tuesday, AFL Investigations Officer RICK LEWIS laid the following charges:
RICHARD VANDENBERG (Haw) cited for striking ADAM McPHEE (Ess) and making unnecessary and unreasonable contact with his leg to the Bomber player. Vandenberg initially pleaded not guilty to both charges but changed the plea on the misconduct charge. He was found guilty of both charges and suspended for three matches on both charges, a total of six weeks.
LANCE PICIOANE (Haw) cited for striking ADAM McPHEE (Ess).The player was found guilty and suspended for four matches. Hawthorn appealed. The Appeal Board on Thursday upheld the verdict of the Tribunal.
SIMON BEAUMONT (Haw) cited for misconduct against JUSTIN MURPHY (Ess). The player received leniency and was combined with the related charge of striking Murphy.

The following players were cited for engaging in a melee. All were found guilty and received the following fines –
HAWTHORN: Richard Vandenberg $4000, Lance Picioane $4000, Simon Beaumont (charge withdrawn), John Barker $4500, Peter Everitt $5000, Nick Holland $5000, Chance Bateman $5000, Mark Williams $4000, Campbell Brown $4000.
ESSENDON: Damien Peverill $3500, Dean Solomon $4500, Mark Johnson $6500, Adam McPhee $4500, Jason Johnson $3500, Andrew Welsh $3500, Dean Rioli $4000, Justin Murphy (charge withdrawn), Mark McVeigh $4000.


BRISBANE v PORT ADELAIDE
STUART COCHRANE (PA) for striking RICHARD HADLEY (Bri) during the last quarter. Cochrane was found guilty and suspended for one match.

KANGAROOS v RICHMOND
<> WAYNE CAMPBELL (Rch) for striking BRENT HARVEY (Kan) in the third quarter. Following a video review, the charge was withdrawn on Monday.
<> TIM FLEMING (Rch) for rough play against ASHLEY WATSON (Kan) in the first quarter. Fleming was found guilty and suspended for two matches.


WEST.B'DOGS v GEELONG
WILL MINSON (WB) for charging CAMERON LING (Gee) during the first quarter. Minson was found guilty and suspended for two matches.

ROUND 12
ESSENDON v BRISBANE
<> DAMIEN PEVERILL (Ess) for misconduct involving Brisbane team doctor (Dr Paul McConnell) during the second quarter. The Tribunal found Peverill guilty and fined him $3500. On Wednesday the AFL imposed a $2000 fine on the Brisbane club for McConnell's actions in making physical contact with Peverill.
<> DUSTIN FLETCHER (Ess) for charging ANTHONY CORRIE (Bri) during the second quarter. Following a video review, the charge was withdrawn on Tuesday.


GEELONG v KANGAROOS
From video, GLENN ARCHER (Kan) cited for striking CAMERON MOONEY (Gee) during the first quarter. The Tribunal cleared Archer.

ROUND 13
ST KILDA v HAWTHORN
LUKE HODGE (Haw) for striking STEVEN BAKER (StK)  in the first quarter. The Tribunal found Hodge guilty and suspended him for one match.

CARLTON v RICHMOND
From video, BRENDAN FEVOLA (Car) was cited for striking NATHAN BROWN (Rch) during the first quarter. The Tribunal found Fevola guilty and suspended him for two matches. The Carlton FC appealed the suspension. On Thursday, the AFL Appeal Board upheld the decision of the Tribunal..

ADELAIDE v WEST.B'DOGS
<> BRIAN HARRIS (WB) for unduly rough play on SCOTT WELSH (Ade) in the first quarter. The Tribunal found Harris guilty and suspended him for two matches. <> STEVEN KOOPS (WB) for unduly rough play on NATHAN BOCK (Ade) in the third quarter. The charge was withdrawn on Monday.

ROUND 14
ESSENDON v KANGAROOS
From video, DUSTIN FLETCHER (Ess) for tripping ANTHONY STEVENS (Kan) during the third quarter. Fletcher pleaded not guilty. The tribunal sustained the charge and suspended Fletcher for one match.

BRISBANE v RICHMOND
Following an AFL investigation, Richmond trainer CHRIS SMITH received a suspended fine of $2000 and a reprimand for making accidental contact with Brisbane player JUSTIN LEPPITSCH in the second quarter.

ST KILDA v PORT ADELAIDE
<> FRASER GEHRIG (StK) for striking MATTHEW BISHOP (PA) in the first quarter. Gehrig pleaded not guilty. The tribunal sustained the charge and suspended Gehrig for two matches.
<> LUKE PENNY (StK) for engaging in rough play against GAVIN WANGANEEN (PA) in the second quarter. The tribunal found Penny guilty and suspended him for two matches. St Kilda appealed. The Appeal Board on Thursday cleared Penny of the suspension.

<> JAMES BARTEL (Gee) for striking DYLAN SMITH (Fre) during the last quarter. Bartel was found guilty and suspended for one match. Geelong appealed. The Appeal Board overturned the one-match suspension.
<> Following an AFL investigation 10 players, five from Fremantle, five from Geelong, were cited on melee charges arising from an incident during the late quarter. The Tribunal fined all players for their part – Geelong: JOSH HUNT $1500, STEVE JOHNSON, JOEL COREY, JAMES BARTEL and PAUL KOULOURIOTIS $2000 each; Fremantle: STEVE DODD $1500, BYRON SCHAMMER, AARON SANDILANDS and MATTHEW PAVLICH $2000 each, SHAUN McMANUS $3000.

BRISBANE v ST KILDA
<> JONATHAN BROWN (Bri) reported by umpire Stephen McBurney at quarter time for engaging in rough play against JASON BLAKE (StK). The case did not proceed when the Tribunal ruled there was an ambiguity and the charge was not sustained.
<> From video, MICHAEL VOSS (Bri), JONATHAN BROWN (Bri), BRETT VOSS (StK) and MAX HUDGHTON (StK) were cited for wrestling at quarter time. Brown, Brett Voss and Hudghton pleaded guilty and accepted the automatic first charge wrestling fine of $1200. Facing his third offence for wrestling Michael Voss was fined $3500.


MELBOURNE v ESSENDON
From video, BRAD MILLER (Mel) was cited for wrestling ANDREW WELSH (Ess) during the first quarter. Miller accepted the automatic first charge fine of $1200.

PORT ADELAIDE v GEELONG
KENT KINGSLEY (Gee) for striking CHAD CORNES (PA) in the fourth quarter. The charge was sustained and Kingsley was suspended for one premiership match.
